STS-114 Wake-up Calls

Flight Day 13 Transcript

CAPCOM Shannon Lucid: Good morning, Discovery! And for those of you who might not have recognized the wake-up music, and I know it's really early in the day for you, it was "The One and Only Flower in the World," and if you'd like to know what the words were saying, you might could ask Soichi to translate for you.

Mission Specialist Soichi Noguchi: Hey, good morning, Shannon. I live this song. This is a very positive song in Japan, a song about world peace. The International Space Station is the greatest example [of] the international friendship. We proved that the people from various nations can work together and come up with a huge success. To all the people in Japan, Australia, and to the rest of the world, we thank you for the greatest support during the mission, and we are all looking forward to seeing you in a very near future.

Lucid: Thank you, Soichi. Those are very fitting words, and we're looking forward to seeing you in the very near future also.
