 June 5, 2002 -- Space Shuttle Endeavour lifts off from the Kennedy Space Center, Fla., at the beginning of STS-111, the 14th shuttle mission to the International Space Station. Endeavour carries a crew of seven -- including the station's Expedition Five crew -- and the Mobile Remote Servicer Base System. The shuttle launched on June 5, 2002 at 4:23 p.m. CDT (2123 GMT).
