STS100-390-021 (28 April 2001) --- Astronauts James S. Voss and Susan J. Helms work at the controls of the new Canadian-built space station robotic arm as a historic "first" takes place in Earth orbit. The robotics "handshake in space" occurred as the Canadarm2 transferred its launch cradle over to Endeavour's Canadian-built remote manipulator system (RMS) robotic arm, with astronaut Chris A. Hadfield, mission specialist representing the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), at the controls on the flight deck of the shuttle.
